MHAIRI WINTERS

Distillery Manager

Mhairi has a wealth of experience working in distilleries of varying size and style. Taking up the mantle as inaugural distillery manager for The Cairn in 2021, she has been instrumental in building the distillery team and ensuring that we produce exceptional spirit day-in, day-out.

FRANKIE MCARTHUR-ROBINSON

Guest Experience Assistant Manager

With a desire to create memorable experiences that bring people together, Frankie brings a wealth of customer service experience to the team, as well as a love for whisky. She oversees our experience team, ensuring visitors receive the very best welcome to The Cairn.

George Anderson

On retiring from teaching, George joined our sister distillery, Benromach, as a tour guide and has never looked back in his whisky journey. A move to Aviemore meant he could bring his skills to The Cairn and he has been hosting visitors since our doors opened.

Diane Kerwood

Having spent a lifetime working in customer service and a love for whisky has given Diane the perfect foundation for working at The Cairn. She's been a part of the team, welcoming all of our visitors and conducting tours of our distillery from the beginning.

Lexie Murray

Looking to learn something new and step out of her comfort zone, Lexie jumped at the opportunity to join the team and she's loving learning all about whisky production. She doesn't have much spare time with an excitable Boxer dog, but he encourages her to explore the outdoors more.

Jake Duncan

Jake longed for an outdoor lifestyle and found himself relocating to Grantown, leaving the corporate world of software development behind. He discovered a passion for whisky and eagerly accepted a role at The Cairn to further his exploration into the industry.

Mark Lochhead

Mark had a career in whisky spanning more than 30 years and covering many distilleries. A couple of years after retiring, he found he wanted to get back to doing what he loves - talking about whisky - and has been able to do just that after joining us at The Cairn.

TIM BELTON

Guest Experience Assistant Manager, The Gathering

A self-confessed foodie, Tim was as a chef and restaurant owner in past lives. He oversees The Gathering here at The Cairn, so everything our visitors eat and drink is procured and created by Tim and his team.
